A striking Italian Mid-Century Modern chandelier designed by Dino Martens for Aureliano Toso in the 1950s.The chandelier features a sculptural brass structure with five colorful Murano glass shades, each decorated with Martens’ distinctive free-flowing ribbons of red, blue, yellow and green against a milky white background. The combination of vibrant polychrome glass and warm aged brass creates a playful yet sophisticated sculptural presence. Adding to the composition are the substantial glass elements suspended beneath the shades. Made of clear Murano glass and enriched with vivid colored trails, they echo the colorful motifs of the upper shades while adding transparency, depth and movement to the overall design.
